Someone pressed the fast-forward button
on my life
and possibly glued it down
I cannot get any of the other buttons to work
Pause
Stop
Play
Rewind
none of them have any influence
on the speed of life right now

It’s unfair
when I was fifteen, time was slow
and it seemed that I would never
grow up
and now
even though I have yet to grow up
time is moving so quickly
I am afraid I won’t
grow up in time.
