And for all practical purposes, for me, it’s summer. Sure, still have to go to work, but the vibe is much more relaxed as classes are winding down.

After completing the full A to Z blogging challenge, (more reflections later this week) the big thing I am taking from the experience is how fun it was to get up and write a poem every day, so, I think I will continue that most days.

how fresh starts and day ones
can inspire change, growth
The single digit on the calendar
streamlined – none of the baggage of the 29th.

New month, week, day
trying to undo the damage
of the last supper effect
of the last year, month, week, day.
Because I seem to respect shiny new time
more than the time I already have in front of me
and that the flip of the calendar can turn me into
who I would rather be
rather than me.
