Change is in the air,
Well, no, not really; it’s still too hot
to go outside and breathe the air
so I really don’t know if I could sense change
odorically.

Change is in the length of days
the darkness lasts longer
and the sun is using its vacation time
to leave earlier
Not too noticeably yet
Visually taking in the change is still a bit difficult

Change is in the air
I can hear it in the buzzing mosquitos
as they aggressively get in
their last attacks of the summer.
and counting the welts on my legs
there is no doubt
change is in the air.
